Personality & Traits
General Overview | Róisín is a cold, hard, disciplinarian who brokers no deviation from the established expectation. She keeps a very tight schedule and expects the crew to follow that lead. Variations are dealt with harshly and she is the first to remind the crew that this is the price of being a part of greatness. You want to be on the front line with Captain Bowdler, this is the way it is going to be. Not just direct, but forcefully so. You will follow, or you will be relieved. Fluent in Gaelic, Welsh, French, and English. |

Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: - Organization. Róisín has an extremely well-ordered and methodical mind that allows her to keep track of more than a few things at a time. Almost Vulcan-like in that aspect. - Training and Retention. While she might not be the most warm and fuzzy, she's an unparalleled trainer who knows how to reach each individual officer in their own. Her unique style of cold, hard-edged training provides a sense of value to the trainee that results in a strong individual retention. In the end, they don't want to leave and take pride in remaining. - Management. She is not a micromanager, and trusts her team to do their job well. Provides training and insight, even if it isn't warm and fuzzy, and does an outstanding job of keeping folks on track without belittling them or making them feel micromanaged. Weaknesses: - Emotional awareness. Róisín is not a cruel individual, she just isn't the most outwardly soft and friendly sort. That results in a sharp-tongued response in some cases that is not necessarily warranted. But can dole out praise in equal measure. Some find it difficult to reconcile the cold hearted authoritarian with the grateful and supportive woman she is when things are done right. - Physical Combat. Róisín has passed the necessary courses to be where she is, which includes physical combat, but she is by no means proficient at it. |

Ambitions | Róisín has really achieved what she set out to do. To be part of a crew on a vessel that had set the standard for Starfleet. Not the kind of ship that won great battles, or sat front and center to all the major First Contact missions of the Federation. The kind of ship that was the gold standard for the others. The one that other Captain's looked to for guidance, that looked to for best practices. To represent the best of Starfleet simply by their actions day to day, not the results of lucky circumstances. Now, Róisín's ambition is for her personally. She wants to spend the next decades of her life growing hero own crew - her own family. She just needs to find that person who wants it too, and isn't intimidated by her, or her achievements thus far. Something that's not as easy to find as her family seems to think it is. |
