| Physical Description | Stocky, gruff and a career malcontent. Lachlan sets and exceeds all Starfleet standards of physical fitness, but almost always flaunts those of personal grooming often refusing to shave for days until it either bothers him too much to keep it any more or (the more likely of late) his wife demands he shave it off. Even she can only take it so much. Lachlan was born and raised in Glasgow, and speaks with a thick, dark and gravelly accent. He doesn't speak brashly or loudly, in fact quite the opposite, speaking softly and in muted tones that often forces his listener to strain to hear him. Though he may speak softly, he's never one to mince words or back down from a verbal confrontation. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Lachlan has been a thorn in the side of Starfleet for the last forty years. By all rights he should be an Admiral serving on his own flagship, but after butting heads for years and fighting when he should have cowtowed to his higher ranking peers (superior is very debatable) he has been left on the fringes trying to salvage something out of his career. Something he is not ashamed of in the least. The only reason Callum remains active in Starfleet, despite his track record of bucking authority, is because of his track record as a successful skipper, commander, tactician, diplomat and all around asshole. Callum always gets the job done, but he'd never once done it to Starfleet's regulation. He's about as far from the regulation, textbook, picture perfect Captain as it gets but he's one of the few that's never failed. The bane of his existence is making his commanding officers look bad, while simultaneously succeeded at his mission. Something he's paid for in rank and assignments every day of his Starfleet career. Until now. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strength's + Tactical Awareness/Aggressiveness. He isn't afraid to come in guns blazing without attempting a diplomatic approach and isn't afraid to use the aggressive approach to force the diplomatic one. One of his major flaws as well as he isn't afraid to put lives at risk to get the job done. + Diplomatic Negotiations. His methods are crass, crude and aggressive, but when it comes down to sitting across the table from the other party, Lachlan knows how to make progress and get things hashed out. He believes that smoke and mirrors does nothing; his blunt, to the point approach cuts through the bullshit and gets to the heart of the issue quick-style. Weaknesses - Isn't afraid to put lives in danger to get the job done - even where others believe it's needless. - Very seldom respects authority. Starfleet believes that Officers must respect the CoC faithfully. Lachlan believes in respect only when duly earned and isn't afraid to tell any Officer, Lieutenant or Vice Admiral that their orders are idiotic, ill-advised and more often than not promptly ignores them to complete his mission the best way possible. |

| Ambitions | Lachlan wants to make a difference, but has come to the realization that he's worked so hard on that that he hasn't let himself have any kind of a life. Now his ambition revolves around his wife, new child and the promise of more children in the future. For now he's looking to make a difference in his own family's life, and find a quiet place to try and make a difference in the Federation as well. | |
