The term 'motley crew' did not quite encapsulate the individuals before her. For one, they were fairly well qualified, if not terribly seasoned in their experience. Not as many as she had anticipated, though. Most likely the count would increase over the weeks to come. For now, she had a basic allotment at work on the usual tasks about the Command Center and throughout the station. Content to leave them to their work, She focused her attention on the ten new souls standing before her; fresh young faces and likely extravagant expectations of life on a station. Ah well, at least Rhian got the chance to disabuse them of THAT illusion fresh off the bat.

Drawing herself up before them, Rhian put on her best ‘I’m the Leader’ visage and addressed her troops. "Good morning to all of you. As you likely know, I am Lieutenant JG Rhiannon Hokir. Currently I am the Assistant Chief of our department, as the “Powers That Be” have not yet determined if they want to officially put me in charge of anything. Personally, I don't blame them." Her smile, along with her words, earned a few chuckles from the group, dispelling the tension a few degrees.

"Mr. Danvers," she nodded to a young man on her right - a fellow LTJG among the flock of Ensigns and NCOs. A quick glance at the padd before her, and then Rhian pressed on. "I see you have prior experience working as assistant quartermaster on your last posting.” At his affirmative, Rhian nodded. “I would like you, and three others to coordinate with the Marines to inventory all the equipment they have recently commandeered from our unoccupied zones. No need for requisitioning any replacements, we just need a reliable log of what stash the station actually has on hand for the moment. Be thorough but get back with me as soon as you can so we can get everything logged properly into the general manifest."

“Yes, Ma’am.” Already she could see his gaze filtering over the group and knew that her next allotment would need to be quick before her chosen ones were snatched up.

"Miss Warren." This, an ensign towards the middle. "I would like for you and Mr. Rieblin to assist me with reviewing the plans for a system restart scheduled tomorrow morning. Commander Zahn has some specific instructions as to the process and I want to make sure we have all our questions ironed out by 1400 at the latest so Command will have time to address any issues we might uncover." The pair made their way closer to where Rhian was standing, removing themselves from the sorting.

“Those of you not assigned to Mr. Danvers’ group, feel free to poke about and see what projects you can assist with here in the CIC. There’s plenty going on, as you can see, so you have your pick.” No one seemed to be balking just yet, so Rhian figured they were well-enough sorted to send on their way. "Are there any questions? Right, then. Let's get started."
