| Personal History | Syimmi was hatched in a pod of eight genetically identical sisters. Her world is very distant, far into the Perseus arm of the Galaxy. She was captured by traders using ancient iconian gateways to move their illicit trade(the location of which they have kept very well secret). After some time, she was purchased by Orion pirates and put to work using her mechanical skills on their vessel, under constant watch and abuse. Not very keen on the arrangement, she and some other sailors who had been pressed into service on the pirate ship staged a successful mutiny and delivered the ship into a Fleet port. Syimmi became a UFP citizen and enlisted with the Marines. She especially appreciates the camaraderie that reminds her of community living of her long lost home. Syimmi is driven to defend others and is faithful and patriotic, traits that run very deeply in her genes. As a worker/soldier in her colony, bred for and trained as a technician/ warrior, she is naturally gifted in those areas. She is not genetically able to reproduce, though she is somewhat intrigued by the Romantic stories and experiences of others. It took Syimmi quite some time and effort to accept that males could be co-equal to females, as growing up, she mostly only knew males of the colony to be physically weak, generally superficial, and often engaged in slimy political power games, if they had any ambitions at all. Syimmi has six limbs, generally she walks on the two hindmost ones, but can pick up a lot of speed on all six. She has amazing climbing abilities. She also has a very fined-tuned sense of smell and can pick up on the emotions of others and glean quite a lot of other information from smell alone. Syimmi is 19, which is approaching middle age for her kind. In Orul society, they spend only two years training after hatching and then are put into service, first in the hatchery for 2 years, and then enter into labor or war efforts before age five. Syimmi anticipates living until about age forty-five. |
