XO'S GENERAL SUMMARY:

- Out on recon in deep space, USS Pathfinder ducks into hiding as the Theseus prepares to confront a possible threat. But the incoming object turns out to be some Pyrryx tech that the Korinn adapted to auto-launch as a probe when their comms station was looked into. DeHavilland weighs her options as she considers what she doesn't know. Meanwhile, Dr Wagner examines the Selkie-like Korinn body in her morgue and makes interesting discoveries.

- Back home in the Loki system, Rubens heads down with one of the Breckenridge flights to Loki III along with some of the refugees settling on the Itonian Bajada; meanwhile his sweetheart from earth makes the long journey out to Obsidian Command. Brek thinks back about his first encounter with a Christmas tree, deals with some pushy salesmen, and is pinned down to give a critique on some angsty teen artwork. One of Counselor Tery's patients, Ensign Macario, seems to be getting worse. And the plucky little USS Wasp prepares to launch on an in system security check in Loki's ort cloud.

- In the Obsidianverse (OC/Rosie, Free Range thread resolution), the tandem SF/ Rangers privateer operation Zahn worked on was successful, at least for the Rangers' pocketbooks. But Zahn's young hacker friend double crosses her.


OOC UPDATES:

A little bit of a slower month with the holiday season as tags were difficult to keep momentum on. Still, some enjoyable reading in the solo work and a little bit of progress on the Pathfinder's mission.

For Spiral -
Kindness: It's vary rarely noticed, but one of the greatest contributions that can be made in a sim besides, of course, writing, is to be an attentive and encouraging reader. Spiral contributes every month to the recognition of other players by sending along awards suggestions and favorite quotes. This kind of attentive care is quiet, but we each know as writers that it goes a long way when we know there is someone reading our posts and cheering us on. Spiral is a good example to us all.
