XO'S GENERAL SUMMARY:

-June saw some wonderful development planetside on Obsidian, aka Loki III, as an off-world trader introduced the reader to many nuances of geography and culture among the tribes.

-The new counselor gets his first patient. The Ast CMO makes herself at home.

-The plot moved forward as Captain DeHavilland's discovery of alien wreckage raised alarms and she forced her way into being briefed on the classified dangers. Preparations begin for an expedition to look into possible local incursion of the mysterious conquering empire pressing into the region. The USS Pathfinder does flightchecks and prepares to launch for her sensitive recon mission!


AWARD NOTES:

Polar- Devil's in the Details - for breathing life into the specifics of Obsidian tribal life and culture, bridging the gap between the reader and the world with his colorful character of ibn Sharjar and making his own clever contributions to the details of the world. He really made the wiki "canon" of Loki III and other post references shine.



OOC UPDATES
Both the CO and XO are moving house IRL, so the A-plot hasn't been fully realized. But in the meantime plot setup, character development, and forshadowing continues.

July will see the actual Launch of the A-plot away mission with an open invite to all crew to participate- players wanting to participate with a PC or NPC need to contact the GM.

There have been no major site updates in June

There have been no new ad campaigns in June


RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN:
No discord ads were run for June.

We invite everyone who wants to help recruit to consider inviting a friend!

We love getting ideas people have for unique characters (pitch it to us!) and the station needs lots of personnel in all of the departments (Stardock ain't small...!) But if asked, I presently think the station needs the following the most:

-Tower Control Officer (akin to a tower controller at an airport- would primarily work from the Operations Center and be concerned with comings and goings. Would be a Flight Control Officer, but work in Tandem with Operations. Would work well as an Officer or an experienced Enlisted Character)

-Flight Control Officer (managing shuttle flights and manning helm on the Pathfinder)

-Science Officer (generalists or different specialties would be very welcome!)

-Ast Chief Engineer (station eng is primarily like a facilities engineer role, maintaining the power generation and upkeep of the station, but also can include other endeavors including tech research, ship repairs, and technology in the Loki System and on away missions. Should work closely with Operations and some Science specialties)

-Shipyard Manager (Someone to organize and oversee ship repairs and refits- would be a branch of the Engineering Dept and work closely with Eng/ Ops)

-Civilians! All sorts! Much needed!

As we roll out a new mission, it continues to be an ideal time to invite a friend to join Obsidian Command and grow our writing family!
